Schools Manager

and help shape the future of music education across more than 90 schools in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.



At RGMS, we are passionate about ensuring every child and young person has access to inspiring, inclusive, and high-quality music learning. As Assistant Schools Manager, you'll support the Schools Manager in realising that vision -- developing and championing excellence in school-based music provision throughout the borough.

What You'll Do:



Lead on Curriculum Music:

Supervise up to 15 tutors delivering our national curriculum-based programs in schools, maintaining a diverse, inclusive music curriculum that reflects the needs and backgrounds of Royal Greenwich children and young people. Work with schools on their own curriculum development even if one of our tutors is not delivering.

Support Schools Manager:

Assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of music services to schools, including instrumental tuition, First Access programmes, ensembles, and more.

Inspire and Support:

Contribute to the management of a team of music tutors, nurture their professional development and promote consistently high standards of teaching and learning.

Drive Innovation:

Champion the use of digital tools such as app-based curriculum delivery and help ensure sustainability and accessibility across the service.

Safeguard and Support:

Promote equity and inclusion, and contribute to a thriving, supportive learning environment for all.

Salary:

Salaries advertised are for a standard working week of 35 hours unless otherwise stated. Please use this 'Salary Calculator to help you calculate a pro rata salary.

Salary

PO1 - 39,8855 to 42,324. The salary indicated is based on a full-time equivalent. Actual salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, based on 14 hours per week during term time only
