Job Introduction

We are hiring an Assistant Team Manager to work in our Hospital/D2A Team.


Conveniently based at Churchill House in Solihull town centre, as part of this highly experienced and dedicated team, you will deliver effective supervision and leadership to embed a strengths-based model of assessment and support, promoting independence and well-being and achieving better outcomes for people, carers and their families. You will ensure that there is a strong Adult Care and Support focus while working in partnership with health colleagues and care providers such as reablement.


Together with the Team Manager, you will take responsibility for the day to day operational management of your team.


You will ensure our services are delivered in a person centred and strengths based way, to achieve better outcomes for our people, carers and their families.


Supervising and quality assuring the work of staff reporting to you, you will ensure it is carried out in line with good professional practice, legal and directorate requirements and performance standards.


About You


To be successful in this role, you will have:

A professional social work qualification and current Social Work England registration. Evidence of continuous professional development Substantial post-qualified experience in Adult Social Work services. Experience of providing professional supervision to others Knowledge of relevant legislation. Demonstrable experience of delivering person-centred working and strength-based practice.
