We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Transport Manager to join our Team in Bothwell. This is a full-time position working dayshift, Monday to Friday (with a degree of flexibility).

About the Role (Assistant Transport Manager);

Support/Cover the Transport Manager in the daily running of the Transport operation by completing all administrative and legislative tasks required to maintain a Safe, Legal and Efficient performance of the operation.

Support Company and on-site SHEQ and Compliance activities.

Assist in managing Legal Compliance in relation to Drivers (Rules & Regulations including WTD) and Vehicle Maintenance.

Promote positive Driver Behaviour, utilising; 1:1 Coaching & Mentoring, Telematics, Training, Briefings, etc.

Involvement in the Recruitment, Coaching/Training and Disciplinary proceedings.

Manage our Sickness/Absence process.

Assist in Incident Investigations.

Liaise with all relevant stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.

Be involved in various initiatives.

Requirements;

Experience within a busy Transport environment.

Thorough understanding of Drivers Rules & Regulations, including WTD. And the managing thereof.

Hard-working individual with the ability to work alone and as a team, effectively.

Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Well organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks as required.

Good computer skills (MS Office) are critical to this role.

Transport Manager CPC qualification (DESIRABLE)

Class 1 or Class2 Licence is preferable. Maximum 6 penalty points.
