Assistant Transport Manager
Job Description
Mostell Logistics are looking for an Assistant Transport Manager to work directly within our transport team based at Browns Manufacturing Limited in Kirkconnel.
The ideal candidate will report into our Group Transport Managers, who control the entire Mostell Logistics operation across multiple sites and would be responsible for the following key result areas:
- Jointly manage a fleet of 35+ vehicles within the group
- Ensure efficient and effective operation of vehicles & drivers from our manufacturing sites
- Support management of a small administrative team and 40+ drivers
- Hands on skills required on daily allocation of drivers and equipment and to assist with route scheduling
- Coordinating servicing & maintenance with vehicle workshop & Compliance Manager.
The successful candidate will ideally have;
Excellent communication skills
Good time keeping
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to spot and escalate potential problems
The ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly
Strong IT literacy skills including Microsoft packages
Experience of a Transport Management system such as Mandata or similar would be beneficial.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 31,000.00 per year
