Role
Reporting to the Warehouse/logistics director, you'll be responsible for leading a shift team of approximately 30 operatives and delivery drivers, ensuring operations run smoothly, safely and efficiently.
Duties
Lead and develop warehouse operatives and delivery drivers.
Manage Warehouse Management System, allocate picks to correct delivery route, monitor run weights, resolve picking queries, despatch runs.
Monitor delivery route plans for efficiency.
Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with couriers.
Track deliveries and provide Proof of Deliveries where requested.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and maximise client satisfaction and retention.
Ensure operational targets and customer needs are met.
Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and compliance.
Drive continuous improvement and lead by example.
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge of distribution channels and methods
Geographical awareness (UK mainland)
Knowledge of legislation regarding transport, vehicle weights, driving times etc.
Previous warehouse people management experience
Previous Sage experience
Use of Innware beneficial but not essential
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Good numeracy, literacy, and data analysis skills
Confident using computer systems
Solid Health & Safety knowledge
Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure
Hands-on, flexible, and team-focused
Forklift experience
Ability to work with and manage budgets

Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)
