Job Title: Senior Surveyor - Valuation Advisory -Operational Real Estate

Location: London, West End

Role Purpose: Hotel Valuation

The Opportunity

Hotel real estate is now established as a mature and credible property investment class and CBRE has one of the largest specialist hotel teams in Europe. In the UK the Hotel team comprises 30 people providing a full service offer to clients and investors with business lines covering Valuation, Brokerage, Feasibility Studies, Operator Selection and Asset Management. We are dedicated industry experts with an in-depth knowledge of both the operational and commercial aspects of European hotel markets.

This is a great opportunity to join a leading Hotel Valuation team at Senior Surveyor level. Interest from candidates expressing an interest up to Associate Director level, in line with experience, is also welcomed. We can offer you the opportunity to work with best in class colleagues, clients and hotels and we will encourage you to follow your interests in valuation advisory as you become a sector expert in this sought-after field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing trading, investment and development valuations
  • Writing valuation reports
  • Working alongside senior colleagues on portfolio valuations
  • Analysis of client and market data to prepare valuations
  • Assisting with business development by handling repeat business, attending industry events and client presentations
  • Client focused approach and ability to develop strong relationships
  • Integrating into the wider CBRE business and developing a one team approach
Requirements/Skills
  • An interest in hotel real estate
  • A strong grasp of profit method valuations and development appraisals, ideally proven with experience from a previous role
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally in Europe
  • Flexible and versatile approach, with the ability to work within a project team as well as autonomously
  • Proven analytical, research, numeracy and report writing skills
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships with colleagues across the business
  • Proactive, ability to work to tight deadlines and good attention to detail
  • Support a culture of looking to improve and build upon the success of each job
Essential Skills/Qualifications Required
  • MRICS qualified
  • Registered Valuer
  • Strong level of IT skills: proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
