Associate Lead Mentor Primary

---------------------------------

Job description
Leeds Trinity University is a renowned institution located in the heart of West Yorkshire, dedicated to providing a transformative educational experience. With a rich history dating back to 1966, we have grown into a dynamic and inclusive community that champions academic excellence, personal growth, and professional success. We offer state-of-the-art facilities, a supportive environment, and a strong sense of community, making it a great place for students and colleagues to thrive.

The School of Education at Leeds Trinity University is seeking to expand our team of age phase and subject specialist ITE Lead Mentors. Lead Mentors provide a vital link between university and school, providing quality assurance oversight and ensuring curriculum alignment across centre based teaching and our students' school experience.

The university works with a dynamic and committed partnership of over 300 schools each year. Lead Mentors play a pivotal role in maintaining the strength and breadth of our partnership by building positive, mutually beneficial relationships with school colleagues, while supporting our undergraduate and post graduate initial teacher training students as they study for the award of Qualified Teacher Status.

To apply for the role, you must have QTS, have held leadership roles in school and be able to travel to schools to conduct quality assurance visits. The University is inviting applications from primary age phase specialists.

We are in particular need of colleagues able to work with schools located in Wakefield, Harrogate and south of Leeds. The university will provide full training for the role.

This role will be located at Leeds Trinity University campus in Horsforth, Leeds although the role will involve travel to schools across the region. Through our agile working framework, most duties can be undertaken working remotely although there will be the need to attend meetings at the Horsforth campus when required.
