The School of Social Sciences at Birkbeck, University of London aims to recruit an Associate Lecturer to teach on our postgraduate 'Living with Climate Change' module.
As Associate Lecturer you would teach on:
Living with Climate Change, postgraduate (level 7) (within MSc Climate Change)
30 hours teaching
Teaching on Tuesday, 6-9pm, January to March 2026
You will have knowledge of global and regional climate change impacts and vulnerabilities, climate adaptation, and the social, cultural, ethical, political and economic dimensions of climate action, and be qualified to the corresponding level of the award as required to teach (or demonstrate equivalent professional/industry level experience).
You will have a strong commitment to postgraduate teaching and be qualified to the corresponding level of the award (minimum MSc) as required to teach (or demonstrate equivalent professional/industry level experience).
Your role will be to deliver teaching to Birkbeck students, in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully, and to undertake all related course administrative duties as required.
Further to the person specification, essential requirements for this role are teaching and research experience relating to climate change adaptation.
