Birkbeck Business School is looking to recruit a part-time, Associate Lecturer to teach on the module:


Introduction to Organizational Psychology 13.5 hours, Tuesday 6-7.30pm, 9 weeks of teaching in-person Autumn Term.

This post offers the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant undergraduate module of Birkbeck Business School.



This module forms part of our Business Psychology UG Degree. It begins the journey for students to gain a good foundation for a career in a range of organizational contexts such as business psychology, human resources, and management consultancy. As well as, in the areas of staff recruitment and assessment, business development, staff training and development, careers counselling, and various areas of applied psychology.



Birkbeck's programme supports students with jobs that require graduates with good quantitative skills, including knowledge about statistics and statistical software. It is also built around an engaging experience in the classroom.

In addition to the criteria specified in the job pack, the minimum requirements for selection are:


An excellent and innovative teacher, or facilitator, with a track record of group work and/or reflective practice and supervision A good understanding of the needs of a wide range of adult learners, and be able to relate well to their individual needs and engage their interest and enthusiasm A working knowledge of IT including Word, Excel, e-mail and experience of (or willingness to use) Moodle.

Remuneration

:



Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate 68.13 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a 'Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier' at 2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
