Position Overview
We are looking for a
Senior Audio Video / Live Events Technician
to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical knowledge and practical experience in video system setup, LED wall management, and live event execution. You'll be responsible for leading on-site installations, programming media servers, and ensuring flawless visual delivery during events.
Please note: This is not a video editing position.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a system engineer for live events, overseeing LED screen installation, media servers, and playback operations.
Configure and program LED processors (e.g.,
Novastar
,
Brompton
,
Linsn
).
Operate and troubleshoot complex video systems, including switchers, routers, and playback racks.
Collaborate closely with audio, lighting, and staging departments to ensure cohesive production.
Maintain and perform minor repairs on video equipment.
Mentor and train junior technicians.
Stay informed about industry innovations and new technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum
2 years' experience
in video and live events production.
Strong knowledge of LED video walls and processing systems.
Experience with playback and switching systems (e.g.,
Barco E2
,
Resolume
, PPU racks).
Proficient in signal flow, routing, and troubleshooting.
Able to perform under pressure and adapt quickly to changes on-site.
Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
Willing to travel and work evenings/weekends as required.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on LED video screen installation experience.
Familiarity with PPU racks and video processing hardware.
Experience supporting live streaming and virtual event setups.
Audio Video Installations.
