A respected and forward-thinking accountancy practice known for its collaborative culture, focus on staff development and long-standing client relationships is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to lead and develop a talented team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audits, accounts and personal tax work. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys client interaction, mentoring and driving process improvements.

Role Responsibilities

Manage and mentor a team at varying levels of experience, fostering professional growth. Oversee the workflow of audit and accounts assignments, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Allocate work effectively based on capacity and skillsets within the team. Review audit and accounts files for technical accuracy, compliance and adherence to best practice. Lead client engagements, acting as a trusted point of contact for partners and clients. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to developing internal processes. Apply technical knowledge in audits, accounts preparation, personal tax and general compliance areas.

Personal Requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified with several years of post-qualification experience. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a UK accountancy practice. Strong working knowledge of audits, accounts preparation and personal tax compliance. Confident communicator with both internal teams and external clients. Proficient in accounting software and comfortable adopting new technology. Organised, adaptable and commercially aware, with a team-first mindset.
