The Audit and Compliance Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all operations within the food distribution warehouse comply with industry standards, particularly the BRCGS certification requirements. This position will involve conducting audits, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with various departments to uphold compliance and quality control measures.
Duties
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with BRCGS standards and company policies.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs and policies.
- Prepare for and participate in external audits by BRCGS and other regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and evaluate compliance trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of audits, findings, and corrective actions taken.
- Provide training and resources to staff regarding BRCGS processes, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations to enforce compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and safety in all processes.
- Support the Compliance Manager in preparing reports for senior management regarding audit findings, compliance status, and risk assessments.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to compliance and quality assurance.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to food safety and distribution
Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience in audit, compliance, or quality assurance, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong understanding of BRCGS processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
- Proficient in using compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in BRCGS or related food safety standards.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or food distribution environment.
- Knowledge of ISO standards or other relevant quality management systems.
