About the Role:
As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you'll support children with a personalised, differentiated curriculum designed to actively engage them in their learning. From exciting outdoor activities to offsite visits, no two days will ever be the same! You'll work with a dedicated team of professionals, including speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, in a dynamic and rewarding role that's both fun and fulfilling.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting children in small class sizes, delivering engaging and interactive lessons tailored to each student's unique needs.
Assisting with offsite visits and outdoor learning activities, helping students experience new environments and grow in confidence.
Working alongside a team of specialists (speech therapists, occupational therapists) to provide holistic support to students.
Using our fantastic facilities, including soft play areas, sensory rooms, and specialised outdoor spaces, to create fun, hands-on learning opportunities.
Encouraging students to participate in creative and stimulating activities that promote both educational and social development.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children or adults with SEND, whether in a care or educational setting.
A passion for supporting children to reach their full potential in a positive, supportive way.
Enthusiasm for creating a fun and engaging learning environment where students can thrive.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
