Our dedicated Production Engineering department is responsible for designing, manufacturing, testing and commissioning automation cells and rigs to improve efficiency within our factory and also improve the working environment for our employees.
We are looking for a creative, talented Automation Engineer. You will work alongside top engineers, designers and fitters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
This role will be based on our site in Chard, Somerset.

Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 depending on experience
ABOUT YOU:
Significant knowledge (degree or other appropriate qualification or experience essential) in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering.
Considerable demonstrable experience of design work in a similar manufacturing business.
Conceptual, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
Demonstrable technical knowledge and experience in the following subject areas such as:
PLC programming.
Electrical design and schematics.
Industrial and collaborative robots.
Control systems diagnostics and fault finding.
Industrial networks.
Industrial machinery safety systems.
Mechanical part design.
Testing & commissioning of automation systems.
Safe practices in machinery and workplace.
Analyse and solve complex scenarios in mechatronics, interactions of mechanics, electrical and computer related problems.
Best practice design guides, rules, manufacturing & assembly techniques.
Able to work independently or as part of a team.
