Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repair services, ensuring a seamless experience from initial consultation to service completion. This role requires excellent communication skills, automotive knowledge, and the ability to manage service operations efficiently. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with automotive diagnostics are highly valued.

Duties

Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle service needs. Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing detailed auto estimates. Coordinate with service technicians to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, alignments, air brakes, and auto body repairs. Upsell additional services when appropriate to enhance vehicle performance and safety. Manage service writing tasks accurately, documenting customer concerns and vehicle history. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently. Maintain detailed records of all service orders and customer interactions. Foster strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service throughout the repair process. Assist in managing automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to better communicate technical issues to customers. Support sales efforts related to automobile sales when applicable.

Requirements

Proven dealership experience or auto service management background preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair. Experience with automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell services tactfully.

Prior experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus.
