I'm hands-on in the business and I'll be the one reviewing applications and speaking to candidates. Front of House is a

key role in the business

and a genuinely

rewarding position

for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and keeping things organised.

You play an important part in the day-to-day success of the workshop by keeping customers informed, supporting technicians, and helping work flow smoothly. The role is varied and engaging, and while it involves managing several things at once, the right structure and systems make it enjoyable and satisfying.

This isn't a desk job or just answering calls to make appointments -- it's about communication, coordination, and being part of what keeps the business running properly.

The Role

This is a busy environment where phones ring, customers walk in, and technicians need information throughout the day. Being organised, calm, and able to prioritise tasks is important.

Your responsibilities will include:

Acting as the main link between customers and technicians, relaying information clearly and accurately Explaining vehicle issues and recommended work in a clear, customer-friendly way Managing customer expectations professionally and honestly Handling phone calls, emails, and walk-in customers alongside existing tasks Following and prioritising a daily task list to ensure nothing is missed Booking work accurately and efficiently on the system Ordering parts, checking deliveries, and completing associated admin Supporting smooth workflow through the workshop Working as part of a close, professional team and following company procedures
Experience with

Garage Hive / Dynamics 365

and

1Link or fleet systems

would be an advantage, but is

not essential

. Full training will be provided.

Training & Development

Training is a core part of this role and is designed to

give you the tools to carry out the job with ease and efficiency

.

You will attend

off-site training

, and travel to training locations will be part of the role. The training we use is

high quality, well regarded, and specific to Service Advisor and Front of House positions

.

It focuses on organisation, communication, and using systems effectively -- helping you manage tasks smoothly, stay in control of your workload, and work confidently day to day.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

Organised and able to manage multiple tasks Calm and professional when dealing with customers Clear and accurate when communicating with technicians Comfortable working to systems, processes, and task lists Reliable, detail-focused, and keen to learn
Motor trade experience is helpful but not required. Strong customer service and communication skills are more important.
