Azro are looking for an
Installation Engineer
to join the installation team. This involves the installation of 'smart home' projects consisting of Lighting Control, Distributed Audio, Distributed Video, IT, Cinema and other managed systems. The position would ideally suit a technically minded candidate that is confident understanding technical drawing and working with tools.
Although no experience in the Audio/Visual sector is required, candidates with IT, Electrical, CCTV, Hi-Fi, Audio, Neworking or Engineering interests would be best suited. You will be expected to work with high profile clients so good presentation and communication skills are required. The following skills and attributes will be required to perform the role.
Requirements
Essential
Competent using a computer, phone/tablet and internet-based technologies.
Strong technical skills including smart phones and other hardware. An aptitude to learn new skills both from others and through self-learning.
Proven experience communicating well with others in the team as well as with clients.
Capable of working in pressurised environments, working to extremely high standards.
Outgoing personality.
A positive attitude to work.
An interest in Audio and Video such as cinema / hi-fi etc.
Ability to work flexible hours with some overnight stays.
Excellent attention to detail, going above and beyond to make sure that equipment is expertly installed with a emphasis on future maintenance/support.
Experience in the field or a similar field such as; CCTV, HiFi, Starlink, WiFi, satellite, aerial, electrical, point to point networks, intercom, alarms, TV installation etc.
Desirable
Understanding of electrical principals.
Understanding of Audio and Video standards.
IT/Networking Experience such as IP addressing and data cabling.
The ability to solder, crimp and terminate cables (such as Cat6/fibre).
Practical skills, with the ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
Experience in fitting equipment to walls (TV's, Alarm panels etc).
The role will require travel throughout the South of the UK and you may be expected to work outside of normal business hours on occasions. The successful candidate must have a full UK driving license.
