We are looking for an experienced AWS architect to lead high-impact projects in a cutting-edge environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of reference architectures and applications for multiple cloud patterns (message-driven, web applications, batch processing).
Development & Implementation: Build cloud-native applications using Go, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Infrastructure Provisioning: Enable developers to provision AWS cloud infra-structure in under 10 minutes while maintaining compliance and auditability standards.
DevOps & CI/CD: Develop CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and optimize cloud hosting environments.
Security & Policy Management: Implement Sentinel & Open Policy Agent (OPA) for secure infrastructure.
Cost Optimization: Design simple and transparent cost management solutions for engineering teams.
Mentorship & Collaboration: Provide technical guidance to engineers while fostering an innovative and psychologically safe environment.
Decommissioning Strategies: Develop repeatable and reliable processes for de-commissioning infrastructure.
Cross-Functional Engagement: Work closely with global and distributed teams across the UK and US time zones.
Must-Have Skills & Experience

10+ years in cloud architecture, software engineering, or infrastructure design.
Expertise in AWS services and architecture.
Strong proficiency in Golang for building Terraform modules/providers and cloud-native applications.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Cloud Networking - Understanding of cloud networking concepts and implementation.
Docker & CI/CD Tools - Containerization and automation using Docker and Git-based workflows (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, SVN).
Automated Testing & Agile Development - Experience with test-driven development and working in Agile environments (Scrum).
Documentation & User Guidance - Ability to create detailed end-user documentation for cloud infrastructure solutions.
