We're now looking for a confident, capable

Senior Account Manager / Copywriter

to join our team and lead on high-profile client accounts with a particular focus on content and communications. This is a key senior role within our client team and is ideal for someone with proven B2B agency experience who wants to step into a leadership role with room to grow.

About the Role



This is a senior client-facing position, combining account leadership with high-level B2B copywriting. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients - leading campaign delivery, developing strategic content, and supporting long-term growth.

You'll work closely with our Account Directors to shape client direction and strategy and will be trusted as the primary point of contact for several key accounts. A sharp mind for content and communications is essential - you'll be writing, reviewing and developing narratives across PR, digital, and multi-channel campaigns.

In this role, you'll also play an active part in mentoring junior team members, contributing to business development, and helping refine client services and processes as we grow.

Key Responsibilities



Account leadership



Manage a portfolio of key client accounts, with day-to-day responsibility for performance, delivery, and reporting.

Build and sustain strong, trusted relationships with senior-level client contacts.

Develop tailored marketing strategies and content plans in line with each client's objectives.

Monitor budgets and retainer performance, ensuring campaigns stay on track and deliver ROI.

Strategic content & copywriting



Write, edit, and oversee high-quality B2B content - including press releases, articles, web copy, case studies, brochures and technical documentation.

Work with subject matter experts to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives.

Create and oversee content strategies aligned with broader business goals and client needs.

Ensure all content meets high standards of clarity, accuracy, and relevance for each target audience.

Campaign delivery & communications



Lead meetings, updates and reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.

Drive media relations activity, building strong relationships with key trade media.

Oversee the creation of marketing collateral and digital assets in collaboration with creative and digital teams.

Analyse results and report on campaign success, making data-led recommendations for improvement.

Growth & development



Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through new services and strategic advice.

Support pitch development and proposal writing for new business and upsell opportunities.

Mentor junior colleagues, offering guidance and support across content and account delivery.

Collaborate with internal specialists in SEO, media, and digital marketing to deliver integrated campaigns.

Skills and Experience



Essential:



Minimum 3 years' experience in B2B account management and copywriting

Proven ability to write and edit content across multiple formats and sectors

Strong understanding of client management and campaign delivery

Able to interpret and translate technical or scientific content into engaging copy

Comfortable with direct client contact and presenting at senior level

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Strong understanding of B2B marketing and commercial drivers

Knowledge of media relations and PR best practices

Proficient in Microsoft Office and online tools such as project management platforms

Desirable:



Experience in life sciences, pharma, nutrition, or manufacturing

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Driving licence
