Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic person to join our friendly team.

The successful candidate must:

hold an HNC in childcare or equivalent

have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children, including children aged 0-2yrs

have a working knowledge of pre-birth to 3yrs, and an understanding of recent publications such as realising the ambition, loose parts play, shanarri wellbeing wheel.

Job description includes:

opening and locking the building

keeping paper work up to date

setting up, carrying out and evaluating activities

keeping children's learners journals up to date with meaningful observations

working on own initiative and fitting into the team

being fun and friendly and willing to undertake any activity with the children whether it is outdoors or involves getting messy or joining in with song and music time.

undertaking requirements to meet both council and care inspectorate requirements

keeping own CPL up to date to meet with SSSC requirements

Position is for 16hrs over 2 days per week. Opportunity of extra hours to cover staff annual leave or if the nursery gets busier.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.60 per hour
