Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Baby room Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. You will play a vital role in supporting children's development, ensuring their safety, and fostering their social and emotional growth.

We are also committed and passionate about our Montessori & Forest School teaching approach which works alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage, offering a high level of education for every child. The successful applicant must be able to work as part of a strong staff team. Set within a stunning rural location in an airy barn conversion.

The Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8am-6pm, 51 weeks of the year, closing for Bank holidays, inset days and a week at Christmas.

This role is approximately 31 hours a week, which will be between the hours of 8am and 6pm, This role is all year round (not Term Time only).

Due to the rural location of the nursery, you must be able to drive and have your own transport.

Duties



Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the wellbeing of each child. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Support children during meal times and assist with personal care routines as needed.

Qualifications



Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent is essential. Unqualified position would be considered. Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable. Strong understanding of child development principles and the EYFS framework. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to use initiative. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth. Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to employment.
