The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated

Back Shop Supervisor

to join our Inverness team. This is a hands-on role, responsible for leading the back shop operations, ensuring the highest standards of butchery, production, and food safety are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and organise day-to-day production in the back shop, including sausages, burgers, and dry-cured bacon. Lead, motivate, and develop a skilled team of butchers. Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and traceability standards. Ensure efficient stock control, ordering, and waste management. Ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained to fulfil retail, catering, and wholesale orders. Work closely with the front shop manager to support front-of-house operations and deliver excellent customer service. Uphold the traditional values and craftsmanship that John M Munro Ltd is known for, while driving continuous improvement in efficiency and quality.

About You

Experienced in butchery & meat products production. Strong leadership and organisational skills, with a focus on teamwork. Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards. High attention to detail and pride in producing quality products. A positive and proactive approach, able to thrive in a busy working environment.
