About the Role

Yasmina Cafe is expanding and launching a new in-house bakery section. We are seeking an experienced and capable Baker to take responsibility for setting up and running this new operation.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role. Recipes will be provided, and it will be the baker's responsibility to execute them consistently, efficiently, and to a high standard. No training will be provided. The successful candidate must already possess the technical skill and practical experience required to make the bakery section operational.

The role requires someone confident in bakery setup, workflow design, and daily production, with the ability to work independently and solve problems as they arise.

Bakery Output

The bakery section will provide:

Lebanese flatbread pizza Pizza Pastries All-day Lebanese breakfast items Deli-style sandwiches

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of setting up the bakery section in collaboration with management Advise on bakery layout, workflow, and equipment/tool selection Execute provided recipes accurately and consistently Manage dough preparation, proofing, baking schedules, and oven work Ensure product quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met Maintain strict food hygiene, allergen control, and safety standards Monitor ingredient usage and support stock control Establish reliable daily production routines for a scalable operation

Requirements

Proven experience as a baker in a professional bakery or food production environment Strong practical knowledge of dough handling, baking processes, and ovens Ability to work independently without training or supervision Experience contributing to or setting up bakery operations is highly desirable Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (Level 2 preferred) Reliable, organised, and solution-oriented
