Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food preparation, supporting our bakery in delivering high-quality products to our customers. This role involves assisting in the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and baking of various pies, including handling raw meat (including pork). Ensure that all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed meticulously. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bakery areas. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Helping with deliveries to stockists and home deliveries when needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a bakery environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations or willingness to obtain health and safety training. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by the bakery's operational needs. Availability to cover staff holidays which would night work and full time hours (Essential). Ideally have a full and valid driving license, and be 30 or over for insurance purposes. (Van provided).
