We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual for the role of Supervisor. This position is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our culinary team, overseeing food preparation and production while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of Cafe experience, Dessert shop experience, leadership skills, and experience in hospitality to create an exceptional experience for our guests.
This job will include running our dessert shop/cafe.
Supervising events and pop up events we attend with our own branded coffee cart
Able to drive is essential.
May be required to work in different places depending on events and pop ups.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and production processes.
Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques.
Train new staff members on , food safety practices, Health & Safety and kitchen protocols.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure seamless operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
Handle any customer inquiries or complaints with professionalism and care.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable.
Exceptional leadership skills, fostering a positive work atmosphere that encourages teamwork.
Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience as a barista or in hospitality roles is an advantage, enhancing overall guest experiences.
