Team Leader - Bakery & Retail (Petrol Forecourt)

Hourly Rate:

13.67 per hour, plus

1 extra per hour for all hours worked at weekends

We're looking for a

hands-on and motivated Team Leader

to join our busy

Bakery & Retail team

at Budgens Damory Garage. This permanent role combines

leadership, food preparation, and customer service

, ensuring our customers receive fresh, high-quality products and a great experience every day.

Shift Details

Core hours:

Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays - 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Additional shifts available throughout the week with flexible scheduling Overtime shifts can be arranged with the Store Manager up to 4 weeks in advance

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present hot food and bakery items to a high standard Lead and support the bakery and retail team during your shift Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards Deliver outstanding customer service at the tills and on the forecourt Manage stock levels, replenishment, and assist with deliveries Ensure the store is clean, organised, and well-presented Help train and support new team members Communicate effectively with the Store Manager to achieve daily and weekly targets

What We're Looking For

Must be

18 or over

(due to working hours regulations)

Previous experience

in food preparation, bakery, or retail required

Leadership or supervisory experience

preferred but not essential Ability to work

6:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays (essential)

Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills A proactive, hands-on attitude and attention to detail
