About the Role:


We are seeking a proactive and passionate Bakery Team Leader to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will work closely with the Bakery Manager, Senior Team Leader, and Hygiene Team Leader to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety are consistently met. You will lead by example, inspire your team, and drive continuous improvement across our bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Ensure all products are manufactured to specification and meet company quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with company policies. Lead, motivate, and develop the bakery team to achieve performance targets. Oversee allergen information and labelling processes. Support the creation and development of new bakery products and ideas. Uphold and enforce Health & Safety and hygiene standards. Manage cost variance, efficiency, and waste across production lines. Drive improvement projects and support the Bakery team in achieving KPIs. Ensure audit-ready standards are maintained daily (e.g., GMP, BRC). Supervise bakery staff and monitor break times and shift performance. Conduct administrative duties including shift and progress reports. Set up bakery machinery and ensure timely line start-ups. Use Redzone effectively to monitor and drive performance. Manage rework processes and ensure compliance with factory procedures. Perform any other duties as required by management.

What We're Looking For:



Skills & Experience:



Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Proven leadership and team management experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment. Knowledge of hygiene standards and cleaning processes (COSHH trained preferred). Basic awareness of Health & Safety and food hygiene (Foundation Certificate required). Familiarity with industry standards and legislative criteria for hygiene operations. Organised, adaptable, and deadline-driven.
