Two Working Pattern is fixed as below:
Week one: Tuesday/Friday/Saturday - 12pm-8pm (22.5 hours)
Week Two: Tuesday/Thursday/Friday - 12pm-8pm (22.5 hours)
The catering team leader is responsible for the daily co-ordination of staffing and service delivery in their designated assigned areas across the catering department which can include, In-patient feeding providing meals to all 47 ward areas / Retail / Stores Production.
To maintain daily audits and supervision of staff delivering a high level of Catering service to areas of the Trust (Ward & Retail services over three outlets).
The Catering Team Leader will be responsible for keeping up all mandatory training with staff and completing yearly appraisals, whilst monitoring fault reporting relating to catering equipment.
The Catering team leader is the key main link for retail and inpatient catering meal delivery.
Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Co-ordinate the day to day service duties within a designated area, ensuring adequate staff are available to provide the service, covering staff absence. Using the Locate Bank system and agreed local agencies to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained. Ensure all Trust / Department policies and procedures are implemented and appropriately communicated. Document concerns and liaise with the catering management team regarding staff attendance and conduct, highlighting areas of concern and taking appropriate action (pre-disciplinary counselling) in line with trust procedures.

1.Ensure staff are aware of the duties and standards required and maintain them. Ensure all routine and ad hoc work is carried out correctly and appropriately.
2.Lead and motivate staff ensuring performance of staff is monitored and reviewed.
3.Assist in the recruitment, induction, development and training of staff.
