Job responsibilities
In this role you will:
- You will participate in the on-going development of the Pharmacy Technicians role in Medicines Optimisation for both inpatient wards and community teams
- You will undertake duties of a technical nature, including the dispensing, checking and supply of medication to individual patients
- You will monitor and supervise the work of pharmacy assistants and act as practice supervisors for trainee pharmacy professionals
- You will take accurate medication histories from patients on admission and carry out medicines reconciliation
What youll need and be able to provide evidence for:
- You must possess an active registration as a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
- You must possess an accreditation in Medicines Management
- You must be an accredited Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician
- You must have demonstrable experience in Medicines reconciliation
- You must have demonstrable experience in ordering medication on wards
