We are looking for Bank Childcare Practitioners to join our dedicated team in a therapeutic children's residential home in Merstham. Every shift you complete will support young people aged 10-18 through important milestones in their lives.

Competitive Pay

Around 250 per 24.5-hour shift including 60 sleep-in allowance.

Supportive Shift Pattern

10:00am-11:00pm, sleep-in, 7:00am-10:30am with full rest between shifts to promote wellbeing.

What You Will Do

Deliver child-focused residential care built on trust and understanding Support everyday routines including school, meals, personal care and bedtime Encourage participation in therapeutic, recreational and outdoor activities Use empathy and composure when responding to challenging situations Work collaboratively with permanent staff to ensure consistency and structure Record and maintain accurate safeguarding information

What We Are Looking For

Experience in residential childcare or similar care environments Ability to support young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs Child-centred approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills Reliability, resilience and a commitment to high-quality care Full UK driving licence Availability to complete long-day and sleep-in shifts
