Job Description

We require reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Community Nurses to join our bank who are looking to work hours around their other commitments, within Northumberland and North Tyneside Community Nursing Service.

There are a number of bank assignment each week to cover annual leave, sickness and an increase in patient activity.



The full day shifts are 08.30 hrs to 17.00hrs but also offer short shifts. They are predominantly available Monday to Friday but there could be opportunities to undertake the same hours on a weekend or bank holiday if desired. With bank you can pick and choose which shifts suit you.



The role is to provide high standards of care to patients. You will need to embrace our trust values, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have a flexible approach to your work. Duties include:



To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care

To exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct To be responsible for all nursing care standards and to maintain high clinical standards To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.

We use SystmOne computerised patient record and any successful applicants would be given training to enable them to use the system.
