About the Role

We are looking for reliable and child-focused Transport Drivers to support our children's residential homes with daily school runs and transport to appointments, activities, and family time. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, safety-conscious, and committed to making a positive difference to children's lives.

You will play an important part in ensuring children experience safe, calm, and consistent journeys every day.

What You'll Do

Complete morning and afternoon school runs. Transport children and young people to appointments, education, activities and family time. Follow transport plans and individual risk assessments. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children throughout the journey. Maintain professional boundaries at all times. Carry out basic vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are clean and safe. Keep accurate mileage logs and transport records. Provide additional driving support during holidays, emergencies or planned appointments.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Full, clean UK driving licence. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently. Confident engaging with children and young people. Calm, patient and able to manage challenging behaviours safely. Good communication skills and ability to follow safeguarding procedures. Willingness to complete mandatory training (safeguarding, behaviour awareness etc.).

Desirable:

Use of own vehicle with business insurance (not essential - fleet vehicles available). Experience working or volunteering with children or vulnerable people. Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality. Experience supporting children with additional needs.

Enhanced DBS check required. Satisfactory employment references.
Pay: 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
