About the role:
We are seeking to recruit a Bar Supervisor to join the Conference & Banqueting team at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat. The Loft, Templepatrick offers an alternative setting for your wedding day. With a One Wedding A Day policy, The Loft can accommodate up to 140 guests per function. As Bar Supervisor you will oversee all day-to-day runnings of the bar, ensuring all areas and staff are prepped and ready to deliver the best service to our visiting wedding guests. You will maintain all bar areas, ensure adequate drink stock levels for each function and perform all opening and closing procedures of the bar. About the role
Main duties will include but are not limited to:
Supervise the smooth running of the Loft Bar on a daily basis ensuring all bar staff stays busy and productive at all times.
Supervise and assist with the management of all day-to-day operational issues relating to the bar under the guidance of the Bar Manager.
Assist with the setting of service and quality standards in The Loft and assist with staff training.
Ensuring that all beverages are delivered on time by the bar team.
Ensuring all areas of the bar are clean, tidy, and fully stocked throughout your shift.
Supervise and carry out all opening and closing procedures of the bar including till reconciliations.
Carrying out daily duties as allocated by the Manager including changing kegs and maintaining drink stores.
Manage beverage stock levels ensuring consistent and positive stock results.
Observe all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations.
Attend any training that has been set up to aid your personal development including cocktail, wine, and coffee training.
Demonstrate a strong focus on the quality of customer service, maintain and develop positive relationships with clients/guests to ensure customer satisfaction.
Demonstrate knowledge of the Resorts' services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Deal with any guest query or possible complaint and ensure any issues are dealt with effectively according to company policy.
Making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Resort standards at all times.
Work closely with other departments to; communicate promotional activities effectively, drive sales and continually improve standards.
Participating in regular team meetings.
Attending any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.
The Person:
Applicant must:
Be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about bartending.
Have at least 1 year of supervisory/management experience working behind a bar.
Have extensive beverage knowledge and a passion for learning new skills.
Have experience in carrying out the opening and closing procedures of a bar, including till reconciliations and other key holder duties.
Previous cocktail-making experience and the ability to train other team members.
Barista experience.
Be an excellent team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
Have strong communication skills and be able to multitask.
Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and the Galgorm Collection brand.
Experience in controlling stock levels.
Be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.

Required Criteria

  • Have at least 1 year of supervisory/management experience working behind a bar

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Previous experience dealing with large functions eg weddings
  • Knowledge of wines and spirits
