We are seeking a talented and passionate Banqueting Chef to join our dynamic team in Swansea. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and catering, with the ability to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This role requires a commitment to food safety and quality, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of presentation and taste.

Duties

Prepare and present high-quality dishes for banquets and events, adhering to menu specifications. Collaborate with the catering team to design menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements. Ensure all food safety regulations are followed meticulously during food preparation and serving. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Provide excellent guest services by responding to requests and feedback promptly and professionally. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing culinary techniques and best practices.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality, particularly within a catering or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent culinary skills with a flair for presentation and creativity in dish design. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Previous experience in hotel settings is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and guest interaction.
