A fantastic opportunity to join the team at Farnham Castle, an iconic, historic, multi-award-winning Wedding and Events venue on the Surrey/Hampshire border, hosting exceptional weddings and private events. It has an in- house team of chefs and a long-standing reputation for delivering outstanding dining experiences and hospitality.

The role of Banqueting Manager involves:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the Banqueting department.

Acting as part of the Banqueting Team for preparation, set up, delivery and close of events

Acting as Duty Manager, from time to time, alongside and assisting the Event Managers, and Bar Manager and supervising casual operational staff.

Service and standards of presentation will be a focus area, ensuring that client expectations are exceeded.

The role will include supporting the Operations Team and Venue Director with managing and controlling staff levels and assisting in managing, training, and motivating staff to promote good employee relations and a productive and enjoyable working environment, developing a positive team culture within the workplace.

Full-time Permanent role - Salary: Range 33,000 - 38,000 pa - or subject to experience

28 days holiday pa to include Christmas Day and Boxing Day

45 hrs per week full-time permanent annualised contract

The ideal Banqueting Manager will:

Have previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, supporting hospitality and events.

Have an excellent understanding of all aspects of Banqueting and Events Operations, and excellent F&B knowledge.

Be energetic, with a strong focus on the highest standards.

Be confident and adaptable, liaising with Kitchen staff, Event Managers and Clients.

Have strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills.

Have the ability to multi-task and problem solve.

Have a flexible attitude towards hours and working tasks.

Experience

Banqueting Service experience is required Previous experience in event and wedding dining delivery is preferred Hospitality industry experience necessary
