We are a concert and events venue on a boat, permanently moored on the river clyde, providing meals and bar service to anything from 50 to 650 people.
We are looking for a Bar and Restaurant Supervisor to assist our management team.
The successful candidate would need to be able to hit the ground running in a bar/restaurant environment and initially we would expect them to work alongside our bar/waiting staff, while they get used to the way things work, and gradually building up to supervisory tasks such as ensuring the bar/restaurant is running smoothly, controlling breaks, stock, cash etc.
Generally, the weekly hours would fluctuate, depending on the needs of the business. An average working week would be between 30 and 40 hours.
A normal week usually consists of 2 daytime shifts preparing the venue for opening by coordinating staff, doing rotas, cellar duties/line cleaning, accepting deliveries, and general paperwork. Then another 2 or 3 shifts while we are open to the public .
Someone with at least a year's experience in a similar role is required.
Personal licence and first aid certificates would be preferable but not a deal breaker.
Weekly pay, free staff meals on shift, regular staff incentives and bonuses including a yearly, profit-based bonus.
