We are ideally located in the centre of Hebden Bridge in our historic 1657-built coaching inn. Benefiting from a wonderful local community as well as a thriving tourist trade, we are busy all year round and cater for a variety of guests from international residents in our hotel to locals seeking the best local pints. Our food offering is of extremely high standard with a familiar, approachable pub menu which features the best local produce and champions British Cuisine. We also serve Afternoon Tea, A La Carte and Tasting Menus in our signature '1657' restaurant where our chefs and front of house excel in delivering a memorable dining experience to those seeking a refined option.

We are now seeking a new Bar and Restaurant Supervisor to help us achieve our lofty ambitions for the coming months as we embark on a landmark year for our business.

Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee our bar and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our patrons receive exceptional service in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. This role requires a blend of bartending expertise, food production knowledge, and team management abilities to create an enjoyable experience for both guests and staff.

Duties



Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained. Manage and train bar staff, fostering a collaborative team environment while promoting individual growth. Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. Develop and implement innovative drink menus that align with current trends and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure the bar is well-stocked with quality ingredients. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, striving for complete satisfaction. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service between the bar and kitchen. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks to ensure a safe working environment. Support our venue in your role in a landmark year for our business as we seek to attain major accreditation and recognition for our venue and dining standards

Experience



Proven experience in bartending with a solid understanding of beverage preparation techniques. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food production processes and culinary practices is highly desirable. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.

Notes;



Our hourly rate / salary on offer is dependant on the candidate and is open for negotiation. We offer a four day working week wherever we can to try and encourage a genuine work life balance. Tips are collected and shared pro-rata between all staff on a monthly basis. Expected weekly hours between 38-42 depending on the candidates needs and requirements. The candidate will ideally drive for work commute or have an easy method of access that does not rely to heavily on public transport from further affield.

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
