The role is full time which will require flexibility around weddings and events 7 days a week.
? Typically (but not limited to) 40 hours a week based on a 5 out of 7 working day week.

Hosting a wide variety of Events from Weddings, Corporate, Private and Public Community events. Silchester Farm is a beautiful venue nestled amongst the stunning rolling Hampshire countryside. It consists of a collection of charming old oak framed barns which have been carefully restored and stylishly refurbished to provide an unrivalled, unique, and refreshingly contemporary venue for events that can comfortably host up to 140 guests.
We are looking for a candidate with 2 or more years experience within the hospitality industry. Due to the rural location, the successful candidate must have a driving licence. Responsibilities:
? Overseeing service at events across day and late shifts, working with Events Manager and Supervisors to ensure full cover at all time.
? Manage staffing levels and rotas, scheduling, training, and performance management of the food and beverage team. To include supervisors and casual staff.
? Monthly stock take, to be completed and submitted on the last day of the month, every month.
? To prepare beverages, interact with guests, take orders and serve drinks, restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
? Process payments and reconcile transactions
? Ensure a truly warm and welcoming experience for guests at Silchester farm.
? Manage bar ordering and control of stock items ensuring availability at all times. Help to manage cost of sales to ensure maximum departmental profit is achieved
? Constantly evaluate and improve the experience for our guests
? Attend regular team meetings always ensuring a strong and clear flow of communication ? Keep up to date with business trends, systems and practices within the food and beverage industry to enable us to remain current and open to opportunities to improve the profitability of the department.
? Assist in encouraging up selling and on selling to optimize revenue across all food and beverage services. Creating and adapting recipes to ensure profit margin is consistent.
? Check guests' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
? Assisting with support to Event Manager on all event days where required and implementing and executing full and concise handovers
? Comply with all health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and licensing laws. ? Manage and monitor weekly cleans of both Hen House and Cowshed Bar and prep spaces including but not exclusive to the cellar and both front and back of house areas and storage.
? Ensure the bars are ready to operate ahead of events and showround days.
? Comprehensive close after the event assist with inventory, food storage and closing procedures.
? Creation and implementation of new bar products and supplier research to further increase the visibility of our business ethos and values.
? Sound management through events inclusive of security site walk. Shut down to be executed to complete checklist and ensure implemented on every occasion.
? Personal License holder.
