Located at the heart of Westwood Lakes, we are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to join our team. This role not only oversees day-to-day bar operations but also includes responsibilities for social media management, stock control and event planning.

Job Summary:

The Bar Manager at The Mallard will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our bar while actively engaging with staff and customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of the department.

Responsibilities:

Bar Operations:

Oversee daily bar activities, including staff rotas, training, and maintaining high service standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Social Media Management:

Create engaging content, promotions, and events to drive customer engagement. Respond to customer enquiries and feedback on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.

Ordering and Stock Control:

Place orders with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels. Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness. Manage and maintain accurate records of food and beverage inventory. Conduct regular stock assessments to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Implement effective measures to reduce wastage and losses.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar role is essential. Strong knowledge of social media platforms and marketing strategies. Experience in inventory management, ordering, and stock control. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
