As a Bar Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our bar operations. You will oversee the daily operations of the bar, including opening and closing procedures. Your leadership skills, attention to detail, and passion for delivering exceptional customer service will contribute to creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily bar operations to ensure all activities run smoothly and efficiently, including opening and closing procedures.
Train and supervise bar staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service.
Develop and implement strategies to increase bar revenue and profitability.
Create and update drink menus, ensuring a diverse selection of high-quality beverages.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner.
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth food and beverage service.
Manage and schedule staff shifts.
Serve drinks and make suggestions while upselling products.
Manage the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory, and recording supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
Hiring and training staff.
Manage and maintain the bar's financial records.
Ensure licensing laws are updated and in line with current legislation.
Work with diverse personalities, both on the staff and patrons.
Planning and taking part in promotional events.
Monitor and maintain the quality of beverages and food served at the bar.
Evaluate and improve the bar's offerings, including menu items, promotions, and events.
Carry out any relevant additional responsibilities to run the business smoothly.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
Proficient in bartending techniques, including mixing cocktails and pouring drinks.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is a plus.
Familiarity with hotel or culinary industry standards is a plus.
