Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding the menu. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies. Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours while maintaining high-quality standards. Engage with customers to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere, enhancing their overall experience.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential; we are willing to train the right candidates. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Strong time management skills are crucial for handling multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. A background in bartending or hospitality will be beneficial for understanding customer needs and preferences. Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
