Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated member of staff to join the team at Malt & Hops. You will be part of a small group of dedicated staff, many who have been with the company for a long time. This is a part-time role, although we may be able to offer full time hours between us and our two sister sites - Three Marys & Old Chain Pier.

About Malt & Hops:

Established in 1749, Malt & Hops is a traditional pub, with one of the best real ale offerings in Edinburgh, a cosy coal fire and a team of passionate and hard working individuals. In the very heart of Leith's Shore, the pub can go from 0-100 in five seconds flat, and has a brilliant cohort of locals and regulars who make every shift a joy. Being a free house, we can offer an interesting selection of products which captures current drinking trends.

About the company:

Malt & Hops is part of a small group of hospitality outlets, all situated in the Greater Leith area, so you will be supported in your role by the other venue managers, the area manager, and the owner, who is very present in the business, but not overbearing. We offer company-wide discounts, day trips, incentives and training.

Duties:

- Assist the management team in ensuring the day-to-day operations are running effectively
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative ideas to improve operations
- Cashing/Locking Up

Experience:

- Proven experience in the hospitality industry
- Organizational and multitasking abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience or knowledge of real ales & how to serve them would be beneficial, although we will provide on the job training!

Pay: 12.26-13.00 per hour
