The Alpen is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the hospitality industry, have strong time management skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with standard recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with customers, providing friendly and efficient service while taking orders and answering queries. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and drink orders. Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory levels as needed. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and patrons.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a bartending or restaurant role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to help customers enjoy their experience. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team are essential attributes for success in this role.
