The venue attracts an exciting and friendly crowd with regular DJs playing the sounds of Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk, Disco, and Cheese - spread over a unique 14-day calendar, and spinning records 7 days a week, 363 days a year!
JOB ROLE
Lightning Bolt Entertainment is currently hiring Bar Staff to work cross-site at two of our venues in Kingston upon Thames - The Fighting Cocks Bar & Venue and Bacchus Late Bar.
As a vital member of our bar team, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our patrons. Your primary responsibilities will include serving drinks, engaging with customers, maintaining clean and organised bar areas, and upholding high standards of customer service. By delivering efficient service and fostering a friendly atmosphere, you will contribute to the overall success and reputation of the business.
You will be expected to follow company policies and procedures, with particular attention to health and safety, licensing, and equality and diversity. To further your development and knowledge you will be expected to attend training as necessary. There is also ample opportunity for progression for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing excellent customer service to all patrons of the pub.
Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Preparing and serving cocktails and other drinks.
Operating point-of-sale systems and handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the bar areas.
Checking identification and enforcing age restrictions for alcohol service.
Assisting in maintaining stock levels, restocking, and replenishing supplies as needed.
Participating in regular training sessions to improve service quality and product knowledge.
Actively engaging with company social media and promotional strategies, including but not limited to engaging with posts, and sharing of live events and promotions.
Adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements related to alcohol service, health and safety, and licensing laws.
Other reasonable duties as required by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a bar or food service environment is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good numerical and cash-handling skills.
Passion for the hospitality and live events industries, and a commitment to providing excellent customer experiences.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, late nights, and weekends.
As late night work will be required, please only apply if you are able to commute to and from our locations after midnight.
Completion of relevant training programs or certifications in alcohol service is desirable.
