We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our bar team on a full time basis. This is a live-in position that will require commitment and reliability and occasional work outside of the bar staff role such as assisting with hotel duties. In exchange we offer one bedroom studio flat accommodation on site, and opportunities for career progression within the company.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Provide outstanding guest services by engaging with customers and ensuring their needs are met.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
Assist in food preparation as required, adhering to food safety standards.
Upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
Collaborate with all other departments to ensure smooth operations between the bar and hotel.
Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
Helping to identify risks in the workplace and understanding the important of health and safety and fire safety in the workplace.
Requirements
Previous experience in a bar or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing orders efficiently.
Excellent time management abilities to thrive in a busy setting.
A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to work well within a team and support colleagues as needed.
