Job Summary:

As a Bar Person at The Village Inn, you'll play a key role in creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and efficient bar, and providing top-notch customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel welcome and well looked after. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking and cleaning duties. Handle cash and card transactions accurately. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service practices. Support the wider front-of-house team during busy periods (e.g., taking food orders, serving tables, etc.). Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Requirements:

Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential - full training can be provided. Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local laws.
