Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with standard recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is well-stocked and properly maintained. Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies. Handle cash transactions efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills for accurate billing. Assist in training new staff members as required, fostering a supportive team environment. Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure prompt service delivery.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of bartending techniques and drink preparation is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to teamwork, with a willingness to help colleagues when needed. Basic understanding of food safety practices is desirable.
