Allens Caravans Estates Ltd have invested in a new state of the art leisure building at Aber Bay Holiday Park in Clarach Bay, with a beautiful beach fronted bar and restaurant, near Aberystwyth and we are now looking for a Bar and Restaurant supervisor to assist and deputise for the Bar Manager to cover days off, holidays and busy periods. The bar and restaurant is open 7 days a week and busiest at the weekends and holidays, therefore if you have commitments which prevent you from working these times sadly Aber Bay is probably not for you.

The hours will be variable but we are looking a someone who can work 40 hours a week with more during peak times

We are searching for a committed, proactive bar supervisor who would enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced environment. The bar supervisor will promote and grow the business, hire and train staff, and ensure that customers are receiving excellent drinks, food, and service. You will also help to manage inventory and resources, plan promotional events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed, create schedules, and set business objectives to increase profits and maximize customer satisfaction. You should also be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse any tense situations.

In order to succeed as a bar supervisor, you should be observant and have the ability to think critically and efficiently. You should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills.

Bar Supervisor Responsibilities:

Assisting with the management of the business aspects of the bar, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals. Assisting with hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to customers. Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving problems to ensure that bar is well staffed during peak hours. Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls. Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and customers. Planning and taking part in promotional events. Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for customers.
Bar Supervisor Requirements:

Restaurant or bar work experience. Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles. Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work during peak hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
