We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee and contribute to our bar operations at the iconic BAaD - Barras Art & Design, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and leadership, with the ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining a vibrant atmosphere. This role requires a passionate team player who loves to positively enhance the team culture alongside events operations from a medium to large scale audience.
Duties
Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
Manage inventory levels, including restocking supplies and maintaining stock control.
Train and mentor bar staff, fostering a collaborative team environment and build on current culture.
Effectively manage the bar teams to allow members to perform at optimal levels on event days.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly concerning food safety practices.
Monitor customer feedback to enhance service delivery and address any issues promptly.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service between the bar and dining areas.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising roles within the hospitality industry, particularly in bars or event spaces.
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and production techniques.
Excellent leadership skills, capable of motivating a diverse team.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in bar cleanliness and storage methods.
Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and staff alike whilst being adaptable as per event spec.
A passion for hospitality, coupled with strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
