We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee our bar operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction. As the Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing staff, inventory control, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company policies.
Train, develop, and manage bar staff to deliver excellent customer service.
Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Implement food preparation and cooking procedures in compliance with health regulations.
Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for cash handling and sales tracking.
Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards.
Develop and execute training programs for staff on bartending techniques, customer service, and product knowledge.
Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee engagement.
Experience
Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management within the food industry.
Strong background in hospitality management with fine dining or casual dining experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability in team management, including supervising staff and conducting interviews.
Knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and culinary experience is essential.
Experience with budgeting and financial management within a restaurant setting is a plus.
Previous roles may include assistant manager experience or supervisory positions in fast food or quick service restaurants.
